About Not Usual
Not Usual is the boldest expression in the Maison Brogi collection. Saffron and raspberry open with a leathery-fruity contrast that is immediately recognisable — sweet, spicy and slightly dangerous in the same breath.
The heart brings rose into contact with olibanum and magnolia, adding an incense-like solemnity to what would otherwise be a straightforward floral. This is the point where the fragrance stops trying to please and starts to command attention.
The base is a classical Middle Eastern architecture reinterpreted by an Amsterdam perfume house: real oud depth, supple leather, warm amber and a thread of vanilla that keeps the whole thing sensual rather than austere. Projection is high and longevity outstanding, which is exactly why it has become the favourite of collectors in the Gulf region as well as in Europe.
One or two sprays are enough. Not Usual is intended for the evening, for cold weather, and for anyone who prefers to be noticed for their taste rather than their volume.
